This week, the federal government revised two of its required posters.  These posters must be displayed by ALL employers as of Monday, August 1, 2016.

The affected posters can be downloaded for free from the Department of Labor’s website. Click on the links below to visit the DOL’s page for instructions.

Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Minimum Wage Poster

Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA) Poster

All employers should download, print, and display these posters along with their other employment posters in a conspicuous location.

Action Items

  • Download the new posters from the links above.
  • Instructions for posting*:
    • If you received your 2016 employment poster from ManagEase, cross out the “Federal Minimum Wage” and “Employee Polygraph Protection Act” sections of the poster by putting an “X” over the entirety of those sections, and write over each of those sections, “See separate posting (8/1/16).”  This prevents confusion about which information to refer to, and documents that the updated posters were displayed timely.  Print and display the two posters alongside the 2016 employment poster.
  • For further guidance, subscribers should call our HR On-Call Hotline at (888) 378-2456.

*These instructions only apply to the 2016 Cal Chamber posters provided by ManagEase for use beginning January 1, 2016.
