What’s in a name? ManagEase is a portmanteau of Management and Ease. As an HR outsourcing firm, we contribute to workforce management and ease HR burdens so you can focus on growing your business.

Sam Murray founded ManagEase in 1997. Since then, the company has grown into a national HR outsourcing and consulting firm.  The ManagEase leadership team brings together years of expertise in human resources and employee risk management. Together, they’re working toward the goal of building successful partnerships by simplifying HR for your business through the integration of our core services and customized HR solutions.

S.A. “Sam” Murray, SPHR

Founder & Advisor

Sam co-founded ManagEase over 20 years ago with the goal of helping businesses and organizations manage their liability. A visionary and a leader, Sam was able to grow the business into a thriving firm with national expertise. An expert in her field, Sam holds the highest HR credential in the human resources industry, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Her love of HR grows out of a love of people and a desire to help others grow. As founder of ManagEase, Sam is invested in strengthening the business community by promoting healthy business practices. Sam’s commitment to the community has included six years of Board membership for One OC and ten years as a Board member with the Irvine Chamber of Commerce where she also served two terms as Chairman of the Board.

Jamie Webb-Akasaka

Vice President, Legal Counsel

Jamie brings to ManagEase an impressive legal background. Admitted to the California state bar in 2002, she later left her practice as a trial attorney and partner in a law firm to join the ManagEase team.

Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from University of California at Berkeley and a juris doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the U.S.F. Maritime Law Journal. She also interned at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and was a research assistant on International Human Rights. Her strong, diverse experience included practicing in the areas of business litigation and transactions, employment investigations, product liability and warranty litigation, civil rights litigation and maritime law.

At ManagEase, Jamie serves on the executive team, manages corporate responsibilities, and oversees compliance functions. Although she does not provide legal advice to clients in her current role, Jamie assists clients in areas such as critical consulting, compliance, and training.

Christina Woodward, SPHR, CPP, SHRM-SCP, ADP Certified Professional

Vice President, Critical Consulting

Christina has been a part of the ManagEase team since 2003. As Vice President, she is a valued member of the upper management team. She provides HR leadership in the planning, development, coordination, implementation and administration of HR programs. In addition, she oversees our program management service teams to ensure they effectively deliver core processes (e.g., performance management, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, payroll, benefits). Christina is also responsible for organizational development, including training, staff development and policy development, providing insightful data to guide decision making, provide proactive solutions and identify opportunities.

An expert in her field, Christina’s many credentials include a B.S. in Behavioral Sciences from California Polytechnic University of Pomona, a Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) through the HR Certification Institute, a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) from the American Payroll Association, a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) through the Society of Human Resources Management, and a Certified ADP Professional. Christina helps drive our HR service teams to excellence, assisting with the overall execution of team deliverables and the growth and development of the organization.

Anabel Ceseña Tarzian

Director, Client Services

As the Director of Client Services at ManagEase, Anabel supports the organizational growth of the company by providing strategic planning and critical relationship building. She oversees contract management as well as providing support for ManagEase’s own HR onboarding, project management and contract fulfillment. Drawing on her 20 years of experience, Anabel is a seasoned corporate administrator who has learned how to build trust across all areas of business and managing the expectations of C-Level executives. Anabel is highly organized and accountable but her true strength lies in her outstanding client interactions, ensuring that projects and programs are implemented according to schedule and that our clients’ expectations are met. Because she is welcoming and genuinely interested in helping others, clients gravitate to her warmth and her generosity as do partners and coworkers.

Nick Murray

Director, Learning and Development

As a long-time contributor to the success of ManagEase, Nick Murray has touched on virtually every aspect of the consulting and outsourcing services ManagEase provides. He currently heads up all communications, which includes client newsletters and labor law updates, client e-learning programs, webinars, and manages key partner relationships.

Nick is a graduate of Columbia University where he earned his B.A. in philosophy. His contributions to the Irvine Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee and Ethics Program have made a difference to countless business owners and students entering the workforce. Clients and partners enjoy his sharp and thorough communication style which has made him a highly requested speaker and widely-utilized member of the ManagEase team.
